Hogmoor Enclosure 21st February 2010

Hogmoor Enclosure

Off Road driving day at Hogmoor Enclosure near Bordon.

Site conditions: this is a typical Military site in the area, large open areas, with wooded sections, plenty of tracks with sections suitable for all types of vehicles and abilities, large watery lake in the middle.

Risk of damage: depends on how hard you try! The site is interesting for a novice who wishes to not really even get that dirty to the hardened off roader who loves nothing more than panel beating on a Sunday evening.

Facilities on site: The Wessex Hillrunners will provide toilets, Burger Van, First Aid and Safety marshalling on site, we are also happy to provide training to novices or drivers wishing to advance their skills in recovery etc, if you would like to find out more about this please contact Sam Valman or Tim Taylor.

Vehicles that may take part: Any vehicle that is suitable for the terrain you wish to tackle, this site can cater for vehicles from a Rav 4 to a unimog, please remember that any trailered vehicles and a random sample of road vehicles will be scrutineered by the Chief Marshal or appointed deputy.

Times and Cost: Site is open from 10AM to 4PM, the costs are:

Directions to Site: Follow the A325 from the A3 Northbound, Turn left at the Traffic lights at the Fire Station in Bordon, Hogmoor Lane is on the left about half a mile along this road, follow the 4X4 signs.

Things to note: if you intend to go into the very dep sandy sections or tackle the more extreme areas your vehicle must have proper recovery points front and rear, the Marshals will normally recover any vehicle from any situation but without proper recovery points damage can occur to the vehicle being recovered.

Entry to the site is purely at the discretion of the Chairman and Chief Marshal, we retain the right to refuse entry to site any vehicle or person who we deem may be a hazard to other users or officials, or remove from site without refund any person or vehicle that fails to comply with the club rules or instruction from Marshals or other club officials.
